How to explore child's interest
25-01-2011

 (A) Understand children's character
To explore children's interests, parents must pay attention to children's performance on various occasions, and the response of various things. Children with different characterhave different behavior. If parents observe their children carefully, they will be able to identify the activities which their children like.

(B) Awareness of children's intelligence and ability
Every child is unique and individual, parents must understand and accept the qualifications of the children and try to make appropriate teaching. For example, children who are good at physical exercise have usually have better performance in sports. Intelligent children may be more engaged in reading. In addition, parents should not only arrange activity which is too difficult to children or comparing children's interest with others. Even activity likes collecting stamp collection or listening to music are simple and funny activities. As long as parents are more aware of their children’s ability and talent, it is not difficult to encourage some activity for the children.

(C) let your children explore interest by themselves
Parents can provide a stimulating environment, such as take their kids going shopping, participate in family and friends’ birthday party. These activities can facilitate your children to understand different environments. It can also trigger curiosity, accumulate life experience. Through personal experience and environment exploration, children will be able to know what they like, and then they can set up some of their own interest.
