Project EMbrace: Project for Multicultural Kids of Suspected Special Educational Needs

Project period: Mar 2023 - Feb 2025 (2 years)

Centre: Heep Hong Society Hoi Fu Parents Resource Centre (near Olympic MTR station)
 
 
What do we provide? 
 
1. EARLY IDENTIFICATION: A faster assessment for children with suspected SEN 
2. EARLY INTERVENTION: Support services for children diagnosed with SEN (eg. Playgroup, Music Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy ...)
3. FAMILY SUPPORT: Parents talk and workshop to enhance their knowledge on SEN and strengthen their supportive  network
 

Who can join? (MUST fulfill all of the criteria)

1. Ethnic minority families with kids of suspected special educational needs (SEN) aged below 6 years AND

2. Living or studying in Kowloon city or Yau Tsim Mong District AND

3. Low income households (below 75% of the Median Monthly Domestic Household Income (MMDHI))

 

How to join?

1. Self-approach by contact the project social worker Miss Elaine via 2777 5588.

 2. Referral made by school personnel / social worker by completing the referral form
